Privacy Policy

Introduction
SwipeLeft ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application SwipeLeft (the "App").
SwipeLeft is a native iOS photo cleanup app that allows you to swipe left to mark photos and videos for deletion, and swipe right to keep them.
Information We Collect
On-Device Data (Stored Locally)
All photo processing happens entirely on your device. We do not upload, sync, or transfer your photos or videos to any external server. The following data is stored locally on your device:
- Reviewed Asset Data: Local photo library identifiers, the action you took (kept or trashed), and timestamps of your reviews.
- Usage Statistics: Total photos reviewed, total photos deleted, total storage space freed, and the date you started using the app.
- App Preferences: Onboarding completion status, daily swipe count (for free tier limits), and last swipe date.
Third-Party Services
We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect:
- Purchase history and subscription status
- Anonymous device identifier
For more information about how RevenueCat handles your data, please review their Privacy Policy (opens in new tab).
Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:
- We do not upload your photos or videos to any server
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
- We do not display advertisements
- We do not collect personal identification information
- We do not use social login or collect social media data
Photo Library Access
SwipeLeft requires full access to your photo library to function. This access is used solely to:
- Display your photos and videos for review within the app
- Delete photos and videos that you have marked for deletion
Limited photo library access mode is not supported because the app needs to display and manage your entire photo library for the swiping experience to work properly.
How We Use Your Information
The locally stored data is used to:
- Remember which photos you've already reviewed
- Track your usage statistics for display in the app
- Enforce free tier daily swipe limits
- Maintain your app preferences
Data Retention and Deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device and can be deleted in the following ways:
- Reset Kept Photos: Use Settings → Reset Kept Photos within the app to clear your review history.
- Uninstall the App: Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
- Purchase History: Your purchase history with RevenueCat is associated with your Apple ID and persists independently of the app.
Photo Deletion Process
When you swipe left on a photo, it goes to the in-app trash. After you confirm deletion in the Trash tab, photos are moved to the iOS "Recently Deleted" album where they remain recoverable for 30 days per Apple's policy. SwipeLeft cannot permanently delete photos—iOS handles the final deletion.
Children's Privacy
SwipeLeft is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
